Installation ...

All our installations are carried out by timeserved tradesman. We insure you fireplace is fitted correctly, and is compliant with current Building Regulations.

Competent Persons Scheme.

Hetas Ltd is a non profit making independent body whose prime function is to ensure that the highest possible standards are maintained throughout the Solid Fuel Industry.

There are thousands of installations carried out each year by companies or individuals who have little or no experience, often to a poor standard of workmanship which may result in an unsafe installation, this may in turn invalidate you home insurance policy.

Solid Fuel or Wood burning products installed in properties in England must be installed by Hetas Registered Engineers, this law is now pending in Scotland.

Our installers are members of Hetas Ltd. Members have to meet and maintain a number of conditions before acceptance, the main conditions are:

• They employ Hetas trained engineers
• That their workmanship (on inspection) is of good standard
• That they have the required level of Public Liability Insurance
• That they respond to customers concerns in a postive way.

Gas Installations

CORGI (The Council for Registered Gas Installers)

It is a legal requirement that gas work is carried out by a registered engineer. All our gas installations are carried out by a Corgi registered engineers.

Chimney Work

Your chimney should be swept and checked before the installation of any appliance. This work can be arranged through our showroom.
